On a whim I drove down by the old Geneva Steel area. I thought I was going to run into a bunch of no trespassing signs but I got in. Just of the road I spotted a black hill with green sagebrush on it. I had never skied dirt so black. It was a mess but going down was cool as a black cloud of smoke followed me. The black dirt sunk in but still had enough speed to ski and make a few turns down the black dirt slope.
Before I left the area there was a small white rock hill I had to try just to get a shot of me skiing on white rocks. Black and white skiing.

Looking for new places to ski. Construction sites are great for rock skiing. Found a mound of dirt and rocks that is probably about 40 or 50 feet high. Short run but something to ski. It had good steeps but it was a little short and ruff. Skied it three times before leaving. The sun rose while I was skiing the dirt mound.

Got up at the crack of dawn to go ski the point. It was windy on top and I was battling some sickness so it made it harder on the hike back up. Took a couple of runs down the rocky slope. Good fun.

I almost got rained out this morning, lucky the rain let up so I could make a couple of short runs. The snow was hard with lots of twigs pine needles and rocks mixed in with the snow.
