Rolling Thunder

Hiking up the closed resort of Solitude, looking for something different. I ended up in a small ravine where I set up to take some laps off a rock drop off. The snow was soft and slushy. With each drop my skis would sink farther into the snow. Left the area when I could hear rolling thunder getting closer. It was time to make my last run down and get out.

Powder Surprise

It didn't suck. I was expecting wet and heavy snow. It was amazing powder to my surprise. Face shots skiing down through the middle of Milley bowl carving in powder. Skied as many runs as I could get in before having to leave. Brighton

Nothing but Pow

Best powder day of the season. Face shots all day. Skiing all over the mountain snowing on and off during the day. Floating through blower powder in and out of the trees. At the end of the day my legs were burning from skiing with Craig and one of his friends. When I hit the pillow at night I felt like I was still skiing powder. Amazing day floating.

Blower Powder

Skiing some blower powder on Leap Day. I had to squeeze in six runs between work and it was worth it. It would have been nice to be up here all day. 16 inches of fresh powder in the last two days. Floating Milly lift the whole time dropping some small cliffs.

Summer Salt

Fresh snow but very wet and heavy. I skied Mayflower for the first time this year. It was sweet to ski about a foot deep powder. One spot it was so dense it stopped me in my tracks and summer slated me forward. My legs were on fire trying to make my turns in the snow.
