Pinch

I was in a pinch for time, so I drove to White Pines in about twenty minutes. I didn't hike up much, instead I stayed along the side of the river and skied some jumps up against the river bed. One spot I was able to jump a thin slice of the river. About 5 inches of fresh snow and dumping when I left.

Soft Spot

Driving up Big Cottonwood canyon with snow on parts of the road. I got distracted and stopped short of my destination. Crossed a stream and followed the path that lead up Kessler Peak. I kept sinking down in the snow with each steep. After awhile I was crawling up the mountain. Sweet powder but it was a workout to get up. After about an hour I decided to make my way down. Fresh and soft floating down through knee deep powder. When I was down I wanted to go back up, but I didn't have time or the strength to go back up. I finished by taking a cliff near the steam next to the road. Hiked up and skied down a thin sliver and off a 15 footer cliff. Great pow day.

Blinded White

The resorts are mostly closed so I was hiking up by Alta near Chads Gap. It was slow going and I could barely see in front of me with the fresh snow falling. Hiked up for about an hour and skied for less then 5 minutes. Its just the way it goes. The snow was amazing.

Can't Give it Up

The snow was fresh a little on the heavy side but still fun. Skiing with Max a couple runs. He just wanted to steal my poles. After he played in the snow while I hiked up a little to drop off a snow cornice. Not to bad.

Short Skiing

It warm enough to be wearing short. The snow a bit slushy but still fast. I was able to ski 3 runs before I had to get home.

Can't be Closing

Last day skiing at Deer Valley because the close tomorrow. So much good snow. Fresh powder everywhere. I stayed on the Sultan lift, and kept skiing off the cornice at the top land in some knee deep pow and bombing it down the rest of the way down. Had a blast skiing powder.
