Soft Spot
Driving up Big Cottonwood canyon with snow on parts of the road. I got distracted and stopped short of my destination. Crossed a stream and followed the path that lead up Kessler Peak. I kept sinking down in the snow with each steep. After awhile I was crawling up the mountain. Sweet powder but it was a workout to get up. After about an hour I decided to make my way down. Fresh and soft floating down through knee deep powder. When I was down I wanted to go back up, but I didn't have time or the strength to go back up. I finished by taking a cliff near the steam next to the road. Hiked up and skied down a thin sliver and off a 15 footer cliff. Great pow day.
